What is Dispatch?
Dispatch creates a single, persistent conversation thread between the Claude mobile app on your phone and the Claude Desktop app on your computer. Think of it as a walkie-talkie to your Cowork session—assign tasks remotely, and Claude executes them locally in your sandbox.

How It Works
Send a Task
Open the Claude mobile app and text your task to the Dispatch thread—just like messaging a coworker.
Claude Executes Locally
Claude receives the task on your desktop, accesses local files, connectors, and plugins, then gets to work.
Review Results
Come back to finished work—a spreadsheet, a memo, a comparison table, or whatever you asked for. All done.

Update Your Apps
Download or update to the latest Claude Desktop (macOS or Windows x64) and Claude mobile app (iOS/Android).
Open Dispatch
Launch Cowork on your desktop, then click "Dispatch" in the left sidebar.
Scan QR Code
Click "Get started" and scan the QR code with your phone to pair the devices.
Set Permissions
Toggle permissions for file access and computer wake settings, then start messaging.
